Course Requirements

This class teaches Photoshop Elements, versions 9 and up. Only these latest version are taught they offer certain very important features that make photo editing easier. The course is for any photographer with digital images. However, there are some very basic requirements that need to be met and they are VERY IMPORTANT basic requirements:

BASIC COURSE PREREQUISITES

BASIC COMPUTER USAGE:

• Adept with mouse and keyboard
• Naming, Remaming, and Saving Files
• Creating and Renaiming Directories and Subdirectories (Folders & Sub-folders)
• Copying, Moving, and Deleting Files
• Downloading Files and Software from the Internet
• "UNZIPPING" Zip Files
• Installing Software
• Email and Emailing Files (Attachments)

COMPUTER HARDWARE:

• Computer: Check with Adobe for System Requirements
• Desktop or Laptop Computer in your home (MAC or PC)

COMPUTER SOFTWARE:

• Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 or 10 for Windows or Mac
  

TEXTBOOK (depending on the version of your software):

• For Version 10: The Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 Book for Digital Photographers by Scott Kelby
